Otinodoris sp. is usually a seldom seen Dorid! Our group was fortunate in a recent trip to the Batangas region of the Philippines to see several specimens.
Enjoy then this 720p video and the unique coloration pattern this slug has!

Seeing Kalinga ornata on a recent trip was like visiting the holy grail of nudibrancholgy! This guy is one sea slug I thought would never be seen in my lifetime! Well, surprise! Numerous specimens were found on night dives at the Anilao Pier area during a recent trip to the Philippines this May. This particular one was found by Sandra Millen of UBC, Vancouver, Canada!

Stiliger smaragdinus in 720p. Once again we have John Greenamyer of Running Springs, California to thank for this wonderful video! The defensive mechanism of this guy is the dorsal cerata which mimic the bladders of Caulerpa! Isn't mother nature clever? |

The incredible video clip (courtesy of John Greenamyer ) depicts the inter relationship between what is thought to be an undescribed Stiliger and its host on an undescribed species of Caulperpa. Without motion to aid in detection, it would be very difficult to spot this guy on its host. Pretty amazing! Video taken on location Milne Bay, PNG, May 2009. |

This video was made possible by Alfred Jakoblich of Austria who alerted me to its presence in the river area of Tulamben, Bali. Ketut, my Indonesian guide found it and I took the video! What a bizarre sea slug indeed!

Video recorded in May, 2008 at Anilao, Batangas, Philippines. Now we know why this flatworm gets so large (at least in the PI)! Pretty amazing to say the least! |
